The Global Contest for the Best China-Focused Cases is organized by the Steering Committee of the Shanghai MBA Case Development and Sharing Platform. Open to case developers worldwide, the contest aims to promote the teaching and research of management issues and business practices in the Chinese context from a global perspective.
The 2025 contest attracted 413 submissions from 172 schools and institutions globally, involving a total of 849 authors, including co-authors. This represents a 20% increase in submissions compared with the previous year, underscoring both the growing influence of the contest and the rising prominence of ChinaCases.Org as a leading platform for the development and dissemination of China-focused cases. Submissions underwent a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process, including initial screening, anonymous review, assessment by editorial board, and assessment by International Expert Panel. Among the outstanding entries, one case received the Best Case Award, one received the Special Award, four cases were awarded First Prize, and ten cases were granted Second Prize.
