Based in Shanghai, an international financial centre, the CEIBS Finance MBA (FMBA) Programme draws on CEIBS' three decades of comprehensive management education and is distinguished by an ecosystem that deeply integrates finance and industry. Bridging Chinese and international financial theory with the latest local practice, the programme builds a three-dimensional capability framework of financial depth, managerial breadth and technological acumen. It is committed to developing versatile leaders who are fluent in both Chinese and international financial knowledge, deeply attuned to China's national conditions and policy logic, adept at harnessing frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital assets to drive innovation, and capable of steering industry-finance practice with managerial wisdom — leaders with global vision and industrial insight who will contribute to the high-quality development of the financial sector and to building China into a financial powerhouse.
FMBA Curriculum Features
Distinguished by its integration of financial depth, managerial breadth and technological acumen, the CEIBS FMBA offers a learning system that empowers managers across all industries with financial expertise. It aims to cultivate versatile leaders who understand the essence of finance, possess managerial wisdom and embrace technological change.
The programme also features two specialised tracks — the Technology Track and the Leadership Track — which address the two most pressing capability gaps facing mid- to senior-level professionals, each with a systematically designed pathway for advancement.
In 2026, CEIBS Finance MBA establishes a dual-engine model of "AI Cultivation System + F4 Technology Series Activities." Through four major teaching modules and one practical implementation mainline, it comprehensively cultivates students' AI strategic literacy and cross-sector practical capabilities.
This two-year programme shapes students into well-rounded leaders with a strong foundation in finance, strategic management expertise, and the ability to embrace technological innovation.
Programme Start DateThe FMBA 2027 intake begins in September 2027 as a two-year programme. Classes are primarily held on two weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) each month, with occasional weekday sessions.
