February 17, 2023. Shanghai – Professor Frank Bournois has been appointed by the Board of Directors as Vice President and Dean of CEIBS, effective April 1, 2023. Prof. Ding Yuan will also cease his activities as Vice President and Dean on the same day.

Prof. Bournois has served as Executive President and Dean of ESCP Business School since 2014. Prior to that, he was a Professor of Management at the University of Lyon III and University of Paris, Panthéon-Assas (Paris II). Prof. Bournois holds an MBA from Aston University in the UK, a Ph.D. from the University of Lyon III in France and a DSc from City University of London in the UK. Possessing rich academic experience, he is also a senior consulting expert in HR and leadership. He was a member of the EQUIS accreditation review panel for CEIBS in 2022.

During Prof. Ding’s tenure, CEIBS made remarkable progress, reaching the top-tier of business schools in the international rankings. Prof. Ding made outstanding contributions to the internationalization and global branding of the school as well as to its faculty development and curricular development. After eight years as Dean, Prof. Ding has decided to resume his professorship career.
