Professor Léon Laulusa to be appointed CEIBS Vice President and Dean

May 29, 2026. Shanghai — The Board of Directors of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) today announced the appointment of Professor Léon Laulusa as Vice President and Dean of CEIBS for a five-year term, effective August 17, 2026.
Professor Laulusa has served as Executive President and Dean of ESCP Business School since June 2023. In 2025, he was named “Best Dean of the Year among French Business Schools” by French higher education publication L’essentiel du Sup and was appointed Knight of the French Legion of Honour (Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur), France’s highest civilian honour. He holds a PhD in Management Science from Paris-Dauphine University and an MBA from IAE de Paris-Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
Reflecting on his appointment, Professor Laulusa said, “I am deeply honoured to join CEIBS, a truly world-class institution, and look forward to working alongside President Wang Hong, Co-President (European) Frank Bournois, Vice President and Co-Dean Zhu Tian, and the entire exceptionally talented CEIBS community.”
As a joint venture between the Chinese government and the European Union, CEIBS maintains a distinctive Chinese, European, and global character across its student body, faculty, workforce, and leadership structure. In joining the school’s leadership team, Professor Laulusa will work alongside CEIBS President Wang Hong, Co-President (European) Frank Bournois, and Vice President and Co-Dean Zhu Tian in advancing the school’s international mission.

Welcoming Professor Laulusa to his new role, CEIBS Co-President (European) Frank Bournois said, “We are delighted to welcome Professor Léon Laulusa, who for the past three years has proudly led ESCP, the world’s oldest business school. I have long known and admired his many professional qualities, particularly his remarkable talent for institution building and organisational development. I wish him a very warm welcome to CEIBS.”
Professor Laulusa’s appointment comes at an important moment for CEIBS, as the school looks ahead to the next fifty years of China-EU relations with a renewed commitment to nurturing the next generation of responsible business leaders while strengthening dialogue and knowledge exchange between China and Europe. In doing so, CEIBS remains guided by its longstanding mission of “China Depth, Global Breadth”.
