This year’s Elsevier list covers ten disciplinary fields and 83 first-level disciplines defined by China’s Ministry of Education, and is released to offer a clear picture of the academic research ecosystem shaped by China’s disciplinary structure and bring outstanding scholars from China-specific subfields into public view.
