Irene Asare is the founder and former CEO of CarvinClay People Development, an HR consultancy firm based in Accra, Ghana. Fresh from graduating alongside her Global EMBA 2018 classmates this past September, Irene is about to embark on another personal and professional adventure as HR Director for BBC News – the division of the British Broadcasting Corporation responsible for gathering and broadcasting news in the UK and around the world.
The Global EMBA 2020 class at CEIBS features nearly 10% of its students holding PhDs – with 8 students out of the cohort of 90. While the Global EMBA programme at CEIBS is rigorously academic, it is designed to offer a valuable mix of learning approaches and objectives. It’s our view that not every lesson needs to take place in the classroom, intently focused on cracking heavy textbooks and the weightier elements of business theory. The programme’s broad range of electives allow students to complement their classroom learning with a more holistic pursuit of skills and capabilities that will make them more responsible, reflective and empathetic leaders.
