CEIBS Germany Alumni Chapter Reunites in Dusseldorf for Insightful Workshop

February 5, 2022. Dusseldorf, Germany – CEIBS alumni from across Germany were reunited at the Radisson Blu Conference Hotel in Dusseldorf on February 4-5 for one of the first in-person workshops to be hosted by CEIBS in Europe since 2020. The two-day event offered attendees the opportunity to learn in an animated workshop on Leading High-Performance Teams & Cultures, as well as a highly sought chance to catch up and network in person.
The workshop was hosted by CEIBS Zurich Campus CEO Dr. Robert Straw, together with Lisa Bevill, Director of the Center for Health, Well-Being and Happiness at IE in Madrid. Dr. Straw drew on his extensive knowledge of improving personal leadership skills and leading high-performing teams to help inform and educate workshop participants. In addition to her role at IE, Lisa is a Learning Facilitator and Executive Coach who is passionate about people, leadership development, and professional and personal growth. Together, they led discussions, conducted exercises, and hosted mini-workshops focusing on the challenges of leading teams and organisations. Participants learned how to foster not just successful teams, but also high-performing ones.
The workshop offered CEIBS alumni continuous learning and the chance to reflect and discuss on this important topic in a safe environment. The 16 alumni in attendance said they found the workshops inspirational, insightful, and valuable, and many stated how delighted they were to find themselves reunited and collaborating in person with friends and peers after such a long time apart.
“It gave us great pleasure to host an alumni workshop in person with so many enthusiastic representatives from the CEIBS German Chapter,” Dr. Straw says. “The group was so animated, sharing their experiences, opinions, and ideas in a space of mutual respect. I was delighted to see everyone enjoying the workshop and I think all the participants went away with practices and ideas to put into place within their own teams and organisations.”
With the timing of the event coinciding with Chinese New Year, the group also celebrated the new year with a post-workshop dinner, catching up on news and moves from alumni across Germany.
We are looking forward to hosting more events in Germany that reunite, inspire, and educate our alumni. Looking ahead, the workshop series will continue with stops in Barcelona, Milan, Zurich, London and Paris.
