A CEIBS team has emerged as one of the big winners in the 2022 EFMD Case Writing Competition announced this week.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the winners of the 2022 Global Contest for the Best China-focused Cases! Now in its eighth year, we welcomed a total of 368 cases from 125 schools and institutions in China and around the world. Among the outstanding submissions, one case won the Best Case Award, four won the First Prize and another seven won the Second Prize. More than 140 cases that met ChinaCases.Org's acceptance criteria are now undergoing editing for publishing by August 30, 2023. Congratulations to the award winners and the authors of the accepted cases!

CEIBS Assistant Professor of Economics Howei Wu has been named amongst Poets & Quant’s 40 Under 40 MBA Professors for 2022.

As part of efforts to promote best practices and innovations in MBA case teaching, the Shanghai MBA Education Steering Committee (as host) and Shanghai MBA Education Steering Committee’s Panel on Case Development and CEIBS (as organizer) have revealed the winners of the 4th Shanghai MBA Case Teaching Competition, with support from Shanghai Academic Degrees Office and Shanghai MBA Education Steering Committee. Some 80% of entrants used their own self-developed cases for the contest. The committee handed out two First Prizes and four Second Prizes following a rigorous screening process that included institution recommendations, expert reviews and final approval from the Shanghai MBA Education Steering Committee.

A case written by CEIBS Professor of Finance and Accounting Oliver Rui and senior case researcher Qiong Zhu has won the best case award in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) category of the EFMD’s 2021 Case Writing Competition.

CEIBS has once again demonstrated its position as a leader in research after a record high 15 faculty were named to the 2021 list of Highly-Cited Chinese Researchers released by world-leading academic publisher Elsevier.

Two sets of CEIBS winners have featured in this year’s Financial Times Responsible Business Education Awards – a teaching case focused on protecting children from hazardous materials, and an alumnus who is helping reduce coal consumption in northern China.
