With the resurgence of excitement around ChatGPT in late 2022, artificial intelligence (AI) has once again taken the lead in tech headlines.

Mutual respect is key to smoothly managing international competition and collaboration between China, France, and other global players, according to remarks made by CEIBS President (European) Professor Dominique Turpin at an international forum in Paris, last week.

This weekend saw over 90 CEIBS Global EMBA students gather at the CEIBS Shanghai campus to finally enjoy the official end of their epic academic adventure together.
 

To further promote teaching and research of management issues relevant to a Chinese business context, the Steering Committee of the Shanghai MBA Case Development and Sharing Platform is pleased to announce the launch of the 2024 Global Contest for the Best China-Focused Cases. The contest is open to case developers both inside and outside China.

The contest particularly welcomes those cases that examine China-focused issues from a global perspective together with high-quality, in-depth teaching notes that incorporate theoretical analyses and/or best practices in their focal areas. During the past nine years, the contest has welcomed 2,350 cases by more than 3,300 authors from over 460 schools and institutions in China and around the world. A wealth of high-quality cases emerged from the contest and about 1,100 submissions met the acceptance criteria of ChinaCases.Org, 105 of which proceeded to win awards. By focusing on the latest management issues, these cases have ignited intense discussions and enriched classroom teaching, and ultimately inspiring and changing management practices (learn more about our past winners at www.chinacases.org).

It is with great pleasure that we announce the winners of the 2023 Global Contest for the Best China-Focused Cases! Now in its ninth year, the contest received a total of 303 cases from more than 700 authors at 120 schools and institutions worldwide. After a rigorous evaluation process, we have selected one Best Case Award winner, five First Prize winners and another ten Second Prize winners. More than 130 cases that met ChinaCases.Org's acceptance criteria are now being edited for publication by August 31, 2024. Congratulations to all the award winners and the authors of the accepted cases!

In accordance with CEIBS regulations, the Global EMBA programme department will honour two top students from each Global EMBA graduation class. The list of candidates is open to public comment until 17:00 on April 15, 2024.
