October 17, 2024. Amsterdam - CEIBS Zurich hosted its first European Resilience Workshop today in partnership with the CEIBS Netherlands Alumni Chapter at the stunning NH Amsterdam Barbizon Palace. This event, the first of a wider workshop series across Europe, brought together a vibrant mix of alumni, prospective students, and professionals and provided attendees with an opportunity to enhance their leadership skills, explore their purpose, and align their values in order to ultimately foster a more resilient and balanced life.

Led by Dr. Robert Straw, CEO of CEIBS’ Zurich campus, the workshop aimed to be a transformative experience for everyone involved. Dr. Straw, with over 35 years of experience in academia and leadership, expertly guided the group through strategies for cultivating inner strength, handling challenges with confidence, and discovering personal purpose. His engaging and thoughtful approach allowed participants to reflect deeply on how they can apply resilience in both their personal and professional lives.

In addition to the rich content, the event was a celebration of community and connection. CEIBS Netherlands Chapter Co-Presidents, Lu Wang (MBA 2012) and Danyin Pang (MBA 2015), played a key role in organising the memorable evening. The intimate setting facilitated excellent professional networking opportunities; alumni and friends were encouraged to invite individuals from their networks who they saw as potential future CEIBS participants, creating a dynamic environment for exchanging ideas as well as insights into the CEIBS journey. It was a great opportunity for prospective students to hear directly from alumni about their experiences, deepening their understanding of the value of a CEIBS education.

Beyond learning, the evening also offered the opportunity to simply enjoy dynamic and engaging company in a relaxed setting over dinner, giving everyone a chance to continue conversations, form connections, and unwind in a relaxed atmosphere after the workshop.

This workshop series, organised by the CEIBS Zurich Alumni Office, exemplifies our commitment to providing lifelong learning and networking opportunities. These events are pivotal in fostering a strong community among our graduates and enhancing their development through targeted workshops led by esteemed faculty; they also serve as vibrant platforms for prospective students to engage with alumni and visualise their future growth within our community.
