December 11, 2018. Shanghai – Former Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Pascal Lamy says WTO reform is just a part of the answer in addressing the current push back on trade, and needs to be complemented by strengthening domestic systems to lessen the pain that naturally comes from engaging in open trade. He made the comments during a Master Class at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) this evening in his first major speech since joining the CEIBS faculty as Distinguished Professor earlier this month.

November 23, 2018. Shanghai – Following her appointment to the CEIBS International Advisory Board this May, Ms. Luisa Todini paid her first visit to the CEIBS Shanghai campus on November 23. As well as advising the school on overall strategy and international cooperation, Ms. Todini used the opportunity to deliver a Master Class lecture about the essence of the “Made in Italy” concept to an audience of more than 150 alumni, students, and other guests. Ms. Todini has an impressive resume of leadership roles at well-known European companies. In addition, she served as a member of the European Parliament during the mid-1990s and has served as the President of the non-profit organization Comitato Leonardo (Italian Quality Committee) for the past 10 years. CEIBS Vice President and Dean Ding Yuan chaired the dialogue, during which he helped introduce a range of topics from family business success factors; second generation succession; balance between private and state-owned companies; and what is “Made in Italy”; to Italy’s future growth and China-Italy investment opportunities.

December 6, 2018. Shanghai – The CEIBS MBA is the 10^th ranked two-year programme in the world and the highest ranked non-US programme, according to the Times Higher Education/WSJ Global Business School Rankings released today. A total of 114 business schools from 24 countries were included on the list, 54 of them with two-year MBA programmes. The CEIBS MBA is also ranked #8 globally and #1 in Asia by the Financial Times, while Forbes Magazine ranks it #1 in Asia and #3 globally among 2-year programmes outside the US.

On November 24, nearly 800 students from CEIBS’ Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen campuses gathered together for the 2016 EMBA/FMBA graduation ceremony.
