Meet the MBA 2024 Student Committee

October 26, 2021. Shanghai – The student committee for CEIBS MBA2024 was officially announced today. Nine members with diverse backgrounds and experience make up the committee. They will support the MBA2024 cohort of 120 students throughout the next 16-months in terms of study, life and career development. Here are their stories.
Dmytro Soroka
President
“Hello I’m Dmytro. I have 10 years of experience in product management, leading cross-functional teams. I am passionate about technology and its impact, and plan to leverage my international background and experience to be the unique bridge between business and tech. As President of the Student Committee, I appreciate being permitted to impart a lasting impact on the school that goes beyond my batch of students, propelling it a little further toward the digital and sustainable future of tomorrow.”
Keith Chen
Vice President
“Hi, I’m Keith from Quanzhou, Fujian! I lived in Singapore and the United States before returning to China to pursue entrepreneurship. During my time in the Student Committee, I will be supporting student clubs in order to create a rich extracurricular experience for MBA 2024 students by building the stage for all our wonderful clubs.”
Luojie Zhao
APCC Chair
“I was born and raised in Shanghai, the city of inclusiveness. After graduating from high school, I pursued my undergraduate in Los Angeles. I also stayed shortly for half a year in Tokyo after graduating college. As the APCC chair of the Class of 2024, I want to go beyond what’s written in the student handbook, and to foster a culture of excellence, where students voluntarily seek innovations and excellence in both their study and work.”
Alicia Zhu
Communications Director
“I was born and raised in Qingdao and studied in California and North Carolina in the US for five years. After graduation, I decided to work in Shanghai and became the commercial data manager at AB InBev. I led teams from India and China to establish a long-term collaboration and created products meeting thousands of users’ needs. I am genuinely interested in listening to people’s needs and working with my team to achieve our goals. I hope to bring my strength to CEIBS and to the committee to create long-lasting impacts.”
Ruoming Li
Career Development Director
“I was born and raised in Qingdao, studied at the University of California, Davis for four years, and travelled between LA and Shanghai during the time I worked as a consultant. I used to be a bus driver in college, working hard to ensure students and residents arrived at their destinations safely and on time. Serving as the Career Development Director of MBA24 SC is quite similar to driving a school bus – I hope to become the ‘driver’ of the students and CDC counsellors, to help all of my classmates reach their destination in 16-months faster and more smoothly.”
Mengqi Jin
Treasurer
“I was born in Taizhou, Zhejiang, and grown up in Shanghai. Before joining the CEIBS family, I was in the automotive components industry, serving Chinese, Japanese, European and US automotive manufacturers, where I led projects with team members located in six continents. I am the Treasurer of the Student Committee. My commercial and coding background will make our work more efficient and accountable. In the next 16 months, I am looking forward to exploring and building unforgettable life-long memories and friendships.”
James Chen
Campus Affairs Director
“I have three years of experience in strategy, with projects in smart courts, automotives and online hospitals. I led a three-member team in developing the tag framework for PingAn’s smart court. Also, I provided insights for the storyline that resulted in a cooperation with the Supreme People’s Court of China.”
John Chen
Social Activities Director
“I serve as the Social Activities Director of the MBA2022 Student Committee. I grew up in Shanghai and Canada. Since graduating from university and returning to China, I have worked in the construction industry. My work on the student committee has two main goals. One is to let students create and pursue happiness during their busy academic schedules; and the other is to feed students through social activities to open up resources inside and outside the school, and create a broader platform.”
Siya Dlova
Operations Coordinator
“I was born and bred on the coast of South Africa in a small-town called East London in the Eastern Cape province. I have worked in banking, education and FMCG as a Redbull Accounts Manager. I am very passionate about exploring sustainable and effective solutions to the energy crisis that the world, and more specifically Africa, is experiencing. I believe my passion for people, along with my good communication and social skills, will help me maximize my contribution to the Student Committee. I look forward to serving the MBA Class of 2024, as we create memories that will last a lifetime.”
