Record high of 18 CEIBS faculty members named on Elsevier's Highly-Cited Chinese Researchers list
March 25, 2025. Shanghai –18 CEIBS faculty have been named on the 2024 list of Highly-Cited Chinese Researchers released by world-leading academic publisher Elsevier, marking a record new high for the school.
Amongst those listed, 15 CEIBS faculty have been named for their contributions in the category of Business Management, meaning that the school has now ranked first among major educational institutions in China for five consecutive years in the category. Three faculty were named in the Applied Economics category, an increase of one from last year.
Between 2015 and 2020, CEIBS boasted the largest number of faculty on the list in the field of Business, Management and Accounting for six consecutive years, before Elsevier established a new category system.

In a congratulatory message, CEIBS President Wang Hong pointed out that CEIBS’ faculty has always been a key asset and core driving force for of the school. “The record high number of CEIBS professors on Elsevier’s list is a testament to the school’s research excellence and strong academic influence. Elsevier has released the Highly-Cited Chinese Researchers list annually since 2015. The list uses Scopus, an authoritative global citation and index database, to track the scientific research achievements of Chinese scholars. A total of 6,388 China-based scholars from 547 academic institutions across ten different subject areas were named on the 2024 list.
