Seven CEIBS professors named in 2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists list
September 30, 2025. Shanghai – Seven CEIBS faculty members have been included in the 2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists list, highlighting CEIBS’ research capabilities and academic influence in the world of business education.
The CEIBS faculty named on the list, listed in alphabetical order of surname, are Associate Professor of Strategy Chen Weiru, ABN AMRO Chair in Management Jiing-Lih (Larry) Farh, Associate Professor of Management Ho Kwong Kwan, Professor of International Business and Strategy Shameen Prashantham, Professor of Finance Yu Fang, Professor of Management Zhao Hao, and JD.COM Chair Professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management Zhao Xiande.
The World’s Top 2% Scientists list is released annually by Stanford University and Elsevier, a leading global academic publisher. Based on data from the Scopus database, the prestigious list features citation metrics such as number of citations, h-index, co-authorship adjustments, and authorship positions to recognise the world’s top 2% researchers whose work has had substantial global impact and influence. It offers a comprehensive assessment of researchers’ impact throughout their career (Career-long Impact) and recent research performance (Single-year Impact) across 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields.
Since its founding 31 years ago, CEIBS has embraced a philosophy that seamlessly integrates teaching and research, balancing academic rigor with practical insights. CEIBS has pioneered innovative research models, including its "academic research + Real Situation Learning Method™ (RSLM)" model, while advancing its signature "2+4+X" interdisciplinary research mechanism and focusing on key cutting-edge areas of study. These initiatives aim to drive comprehensive knowledge creation and dissemination, foster collaboration between academia and industry, and solidify CEIBS’ position as a leader in academic excellence. CEIBS faculty have also topped Elsevier’s Most Cited Chinese Researchers List in the field of business and management for 11 consecutive years, ranking first among all educational institutions on the Chinese mainland. Since 2003, CEIBS full-time faculty have published over 300 books and monographs and contributed over 400 articles to FT50 and A* journals.
