Prof. Eric Bouteiller is an Adjunct Professor of Management at CEIBS. Professor Bouteiller holds a PhD in Organisational Sociology, and was a researcher at HEC Eurasia Institute from 1990-2001 before becoming Deputy Director. He then joined French group Ipsen Pharma where he held the positions of China General Manager from 2001-2012 and Senior Vice President Asia from 2012-2017. During his career he has held senior roles in several industry organizations. He has been French National Trade Advisor since 2007 and was Chairperson of the Tianjin branch of the EU Chamber of Commerce from 2008-2011. In 2013, he founded the French Healthcare Alliance in China where he held the role of Chairperson from 2013-2014. As a member of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment’s R&D-based Pharmaceutical Association Committee (RDPAC), he was Vice Chair from 2011-2015 and Chair from 2016-2017. Prof. Bouteiller’s research mainly focuses on corporate strategy and public policies for pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, cross-border investment and strategy, economic development and Asian business.
