CEIBS Alumni Reunion Forum II
The 2018 Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Digital Economy Forum is one of the CEIBS Alumni Reunion events. Over 700 participants are expected to attend the forum, including the school leaders, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, well-known corporate executives, alumni from the CEIBS EMBA, GEMBA, FMBA, MBA and EE programs, as well as alumni from CELC, CVCC and Smart Healthcare Entrepreneurial programs. The participating professors and guest speakers will give keynote speeches on the theme of innovation and entrepreneurship in the digital economy. The forum will serve as both a platform and a communication channel for enterprises and outstanding entrepreneurs.

Professor He has been appointed as the Chief Scientist for a major research plan launched by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the leader of the Creative Research Group of NSFC. He was also the Chief Scientist for the National Basic Research Program (“973” Program) and the National High-tech R&D Program (“863” Program) founded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). He has published two monographs in English and over 160 papers in international journals and conferences, which have received more than 4,000 citations. He has been honored with a number of awards, such as the State Natural Science Award of China (Second Prize) and the Shanghai Science and Technology Advancement Awards (First Prize) as the sole investigator, the Science and Technology Advancement and Achievement awards at ministerial and provincial level (First Prize for four awards) as the principal investigator, and two Queen’s Awards for advanced technology. He was awarded many honors, including the National May 1st Labor Medal, “National Excellent Scientist”, Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, “Shanghai Education Hero”, “Shanghai Science and Technology Hero” and “Distinguished Teacher of Shanghai Colleges and Universities”. In 2016, he was granted “National Excellent Communist Party Member”.

Hu Yu graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China with a Doctorate of Engineering degree in Signal and Information Processing. Currently, he is a professor-level senior engineer, an expert who is entitled to the State Council’s special allowances, and a member of the New Generation AI Strategic Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology. He is also Chief Expert for “863 Humanoid Intelligence Key Project” of the Ministry of Science and Technology and holds the following positions: Executive Director, National Engineering Laboratory for Speech and Language Information Processing; Head, Section of Application Planning, AI Industry-University-Research Innovation Alliance of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Adjunct Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the University of Science and Technology of China; Fellow and Vice Chairman, Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence; Executive Director, Chinese Information Processing Society of China. Since 1997, he has been committed to research into the core technology for intelligent voice and artificial intelligence. He is a major contributor to the National 863 Program, projects subsidized by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and provincial and ministerial scientific and technological projects. In addition to provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, he has received the National Technological Invention Award for the Information Industry and the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award twice respectively. He has published over 60 papers on domestic and overseas leading journals and at major international conferences, applied for 68 invention patents, and had six scientific and technological achievements appraised.

In charge of Microsoft’s corporate service business in the Greater China region, Feng Guohua is committed to helping clients achieve a digital transformation, with his teams in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. He has worked as an executive in business consulting, IT service and software industries for more than 20 years. He received a bachelor’s degree in economic management from the University of Science and Technology of China and the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) Certificate from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Eric JING
Chairman and CEO, Ant Financial Group
Mr. Jing serves as Chairman and CEO of Ant Financial Services Group, board member of Alibaba Group and Chairman of MYbank and Tianhong Assest Management. He is also the Vice President of the All-China Financial Youth Federation.
He plays an active role in promoting the initiative and development of digital financial inclusion. In 2017, he was invited as the Senior Consultant for World Bank Group’s Identification for Development (ID4D). In 2016, he was invited to join the High-Level Expert Group of the Future of Global Financial System at the World Economic Forum
Mr. Jing joined Alibaba in 2007. From 2007-2009, he served as Senior Finance Director and Vice President of Alibaba. In 2009, he became the CFO of Alipay. In October 2014, he was the COO of Ant Financial Services Group and the President in June 2015. Since October 2016, he has been the CEO of Ant Financial Services Group.
Mr. Jing graduated from the School of Management, Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. In 2005, he received his EMBA degree from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota.

Mr. Yu Chengdong received a bachelor’s degree from the Northwestern Polytechnical University and a master’s degree from Tsinghua University. In 1993, he joined Huawei, serving successively as 3G Product Director, VP of Wireless Product Sales, President of the Wireless Product Line, President for the European Area, President of Strategy and Marketing, Chairman of Huawei Device, and CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group.
Mr. DA Shengwei

Mr. Sean Da is Co-Founder of Xiaoyi Technology and one of the earliest experts covered by the National Recruitment Program of Global Experts. He received a bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University and Ph.D. from the University of California, US. As a veteran in the US Silicon Valley, he has 20 years of experience in integrated circuits, smart hardware, and big data and cloud services. In 2014, he set up Xiaoyi Technology, the mission of which was “to make the world safer and more efficient with the best computer vision technology”.

Zhu Xiaoming, male, is Professor of Management and Zhongtian Chair in Management at CEIBS, where he served as President from June 2006 to March 2015. Prof. Zhu graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with a Doctorate degree of Engineering. Currently, he is an expert who is entitled to the State Council’s special allowances and a professor-level senior engineer.
Major awards: the second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Shanghai Municipality in 1995; the first prize and third prize of Shanghai Municipal Decision-Making Consultation Research Achievement Award in 2004; Outstanding Achievement Award of the International Academy of Management in 2008; in 2015, he was honored as Chief Expert, China Association of Development Zones; in the same year, he was granted the first-class award for Excellent Academic Works of Chinese College Presses; in September 2016, he received the CEIBS Teaching Excellence Award.
Major academic works and translations in the fields of economics, management and technology: the Chinese translation of Mastering the Hype Cycle (one of the top ten books recommended by JF Daily in 2015); 10 Mega Business Trends in the Digital Age (Chinese, English and Arabic versions) (the Chinese version won the first-class award for Excellent Academic Works of the 4th Chinese College Press Book Award; the English and Arabic versions were subsidized by the “Go-Global” Project of Shanghai Municipal Copyright Bureau and the National “Silk Road Fragrant Books Project” in 2016); China’s Technology Innovators: Selected Cases on Creating and Staying Ahead of Business Trends (Chinese and English versions); the Chinese translation of Innovation in the Family Business Succeeding Through Generations; the Chinese translation of New Frontiers in Open Innovation; The Digital Economy Is Coming (Chinese and English versions); the Chinese translation of Managing Open Innovation in SMEs.

Dr. Gong Yan is Professor of Entrepreneurial Management Practice at CEIBS, and Programme Director of CEIBS Entrepreneurial Leadership Camp/CEIBS Venture Capital Camp. He received a Ph.D. in management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before joining CEIBS, he taught in the University of California. Prof. Gong specializes in lean startup methodology. He has published a number of books, including Lean Startup Methodology and Business Model Innovation.
Prof. Gong's research interests include strategic transformation, lean startup and business model innovation. His research has appeared in the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Technology Transfer, Handbook of Organizational Routines, and Frontiers of Entrepreneurship Research. He was a finalist for the 2006 INFORMS/Organization Science Dissertation Proposal Competition. In recent years, Prof. Gong has put his research focus on Chinese business development.
Prof. Gong is known for his great academic achievements in strategic transformation and lean startup theory and his insightful observations for the strategic development of Chinese companies. Apart from research and teaching, he is also deeply engaged in the strategic planning and transformation of many well-known companies at home and abroad.
