Over the past few weeks, CEIBS has received many thoughtful and encouraging messages from our friends and partners around the world. We would like to thank everyone for your care and support. At the same time, our thoughts continue to be with those who have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, both in China and throughout the world. We are confident that together we will overcome the epidemic.

The very first virtual MBA town hall was held today.

February 9, 2020. Shanghai – The case review and Nominated Case Award selection processes for the 2019 Global Contest for the Best China-Focused Cases have now been completed. During the September 1 to November 8 submission period, a total of 254 valid cases were submitted by authors from both China and abroad, up by 22% from 2018. Included in the submissions were 120 cases from members of the Shanghai MBA Case Development and Sharing Platform, an increase of 32% over the previous year. In all, 87% of submitted cases dealt with business-related topics such as finance, accounting and control, strategy and general management, marketing and entrepreneurship, growing by 44% compared with last year.

CEIBS Vice President and Dean Yuan Ding paid a courtesy call today to Mr. Wan Li, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Ivory Coast, at the Chinese Embassy in Abidjan.

The Financial Times today released its annual global MBA ranking for 2020 and the China Europe International Business School’s MBA programme has once again ranked fifth in the world and first in Asia. In November, CEIBS’ Global EMBA programme was also ranked fifth in the world for the second consecutive year in the Financial Times’ ranking.

For the CEIBS community, 2019 was a significant milestone for the school. We hosted a series of forums in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Zurich, Accra, Singapore, Boston, London, Munich, Paris and Brussels to celebrate the 25^th anniversary of CEIBS. We stayed true to our mission of bringing China and the rest of world closer together, and in advancing cooperation in economic globalisation.

From fashion and sustainability to finance and mountaineering, CEIBS students and alumni shared a variety of personal interests and stories with us this year. Here are some of our favourites from the past 12 months.

With the support from CEIBS Career Development Center (CDC), MBA2021 students recently wrapped up market exploration treks to Dubai, UAE, and Bangalore, India. Both the treks also attracted a number of CEIBS alumni.
