March 20, 2018. Cote D’Ivoire – CEIBS today organised its first ever event in Cote D’Ivoire, with Vice President & Dean Professor Ding Yuan speaking on the timely topic of ‘Belt and Road Initiative (BRI): Origins and Opportunities’. The event, part of the school’s ongoing 1+1 lecture series, was held at Azalai Hotel in Abidjan. It was also an opportunity for CEIBS alumni from Francophone Africa to gather together, and network with guests interested in the topic of the lecture, CEIBS and its programmes.

March 17, 2018. Shanghai – High growth entrepreneurship and innovation was the focus of discussions at the 6^th China-India Cooperation Forum held today at the Shanghai Campus of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Panel discussions featured seven CEOs of Indian high-growth ventures that have raised between US$ 4.5 and US$ 100 million in funding from the most reputed financial and strategic investors. 

March 9, 2018, Shanghai – Robert Ward, Editorial Director of The Economist Intelligence Unit, this afternoon highlighted key issues that will affect the global economy in 2018. He touched on everything from global growth, global order, Brexit, US President Donald Trump’s chances of staying in office, as well as China, India and other emerging markets. 

The CEIBS MBA Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) Club partnered with Quest Conferences to organize the first Asian Women in Leadership Summit (AWLS) held in Shanghai today. The event brought together senior executives from various industries in China to share their experiences and insights on key issues Asian women face in the workplace today. Participants included CEIBS Assistant Professor of Management Emily David, Executive Director of Global Initiatives  Dr.  Annette Nijs and members of the CEIBS WLN Club, along with senior executives from companies such as Sodexo, 3M, GE, Reckitt Benckiser, Phillips, and IFC.

February 23, 2018. Shanghai – Former Prime Minister of France and long-time China friend Jean-Pierre Raffarin has joined China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) as Distinguished Professor. His appointment as a member of faculty at China’s leading international business school was announced today, and follows his appointment to the CEIBS Board in November 2015.  

February 7, 2018. Shanghai – Outside talent tapped to manage family-owned businesses should never forget that the company belongs to the family, which they are there to serve. The trick is to find the balance between keeping owners happy and taking a stand, when needed, to protect the company’s long-term future. That was among the nuggets of advice Gerard Van Schaik, former CEO of Heineken, a family business that became a global brand, served up during this evening’s Master Class at CEIBS Shanghai Campus. Van Schaik is also Co-Chairman of the CEIBS Board and Honorary President of EFMD.

Senior executives from PwC, Nestlé and Fischer AG joined CEIBS Vice President and Dean Prof. Ding Yuan for a panel discussion on the Chinese economy at the Zurich Campus this evening. Moderated by CNNMoney Switzerland anchor Martina Fuchs, the event was titled “China after the 19^th Party Congress: Intent & Reality – What to Expect” and it attracted more than 70 participants. 

January 29, 2018. Shanghai – The CEIBS MBA has moved up 3 spots to #8 in the Financial Times ranking of the world’s top 100 full-time MBA programmes, making its way back into the top 10 and cementing its position as #1 in Asia. The 2018 ranking was released by the FT today. The top10 are: Stanford, INSEAD, Wharton, LBS, Harvard, Chicago Booth, Columbia, CEIBS, MIT Sloan and Berkeley. The annual assessment of MBA programmes is considered, within business school circles, as the most authoritative ranking.
