China and Iceland possess complementary strengths and large potential for collaboration despite their vast difference in size, according to remarks made by President of Iceland Halla Tómasdóttir during an event on the CEIBS Shanghai campus today. President Tómasdóttir was accompanied by Thórir Ibsen, Ambassador of Iceland to China.

The CEIBS Global EMBA (GEMBA) programme has been ranked #2 in the world in the Financial Times 2025 Executive MBA Ranking, marking its sixth consecutive year among the global top two and its fourth consecutive year as the world’s highest-ranked stand-alone EMBA programme.

“Corporates today are increasingly becoming multinational, and the difference between multinational and global is you now select and decide,” said Bain & Company Chairman Manny Maceda at a CEIBS Executive Forum on the school’s Shanghai campus today.

The 8th CEIBS Finance and Accounting Symposium was held on June 27, 2025, at the CEIBS Shanghai campus. The event brought together more than 80 scholars from top universities in the US, Europe, and Asia to discuss current issues at the intersection of finance, accounting, economics, and politics.

In its ongoing mission to foster excellence and innovation in case-based business education, the Shanghai MBA Education Steering Committee (host), in collaboration with its Case Development Panel and CElBS (organizer), has announced the winners of the 2025 Business Case Teaching Competition. This prestigious event drew entries from some top business schools across China known for their mastery in case teaching. Entrants showcased their unique and innovative case teaching methods through submitted videos. After a meticulous selection process involving school nominations, expert evaluations, and final approval by the Shanghai MBA Education Steering Committee, four First Prizes and seven Second Prizes were awarded.

Seven CEIBS faculty members have been included in the 2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists list, highlighting CEIBS’ research capabilities and academic influence in the world of business education.

CEIBS Vice Chairman and EFMD Global President Eric Cornuel was presented with the Shanghai Magnolia Gold Award today, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Shanghai’s international engagement and the advancement of management education in China.

The CEIBS Africa EMBA 2015 cohort celebrated its 10-Year Anniversary Reunion over the weekend of September 26 to 28, marking the first time that a CEIBS class has gathered from around the world to celebrate a milestone in Africa, on the CEIBS Accra campus in Ghana.

The CEIBS (Switzerland) Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme has been officially accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), making it the world’s first DBA programme to earn this distinction. This milestone not only represents a strong endorsement of the programme’s quality but also reinforces CEIBS’ leading position in international management education and sets a new benchmark for doctoral business education in China.
