This event, the first of a wider workshop series across Europe, brought together a vibrant mix of alumni, prospective students, and professionals and provided attendees with an opportunity to enhance their leadership skills, explore their purpose, and align their values in order to ultimately foster a more resilient and balanced life.

Saturday 28th September 2024: Flying in from all over China and the rest of the world, alumni from cohorts stretching back over 20 years (representatives of Classes 1999 to 2021) gathered at CEIBS Shanghai Campus to reunite, reflect and rekindle friendships new and old.

The "2024 High-Quality Business Education and Case Method Conference for MBA Educators" took place on October 12 at the CEIBS Shanghai campus as part of the institution's 30th anniversary celebrations. The event was co-organised by the Association of Chinese Graduate Education and CEIBS, under the guidance of the China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee.

Prominent experts from the education sector attended the conference, including Chen Fangruo, Vice Director of China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee and Dean of Antai College of Economics & Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Wang Hong, President and Professor of Management at CEIBS and Hengdian Group Chair in Management; Wang Ping, Director of the Office of Secretariat China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee and Secretary-General of MBA Committee of Association of Chinese Graduate Education; He Wensheng, Member of China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee and Dean of School of Management at Lanzhou University; Shang Wenjiang, Dean of the Business School at China University of Political Science and Law and Member of the 14th CPPCC; Huo Jiazhen, Chairman of Shanghai Management Science Society and Former Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Tongji University; Frank Bournois, Vice President and Dean of CEIBS; Zhang Weijiong, Vice President and Co-Dean of CEIBS; and Ma Lei, Secretary of CPC Committee of CEIBS.

Representatives from Harvard Business Publishing Education, Ivey Publishing, and The Case Centre also attended and delivered speeches. The conference, which attracted nearly 300 MBA education leaders and case centre directors from over 170 institutions nationwide, focused on enhancing the educational experience through case studies and promoting high-quality China-themed cases globally.

The CEIBS Global EMBA (GEMBA) programme has been named #1 in the world in the Financial Times 2024 EMBA Ranking, marking its first ever appearance at the top of the authoritative list. Announced in the same year that CEIBS celebrates the 30th anniversary of its founding, this remarkable achievement marks CEIBS as the first business school on the Chinese mainland to reach the top spot in the FT’s international rankings. It also caps off years of sustained progress. Prior to this year, the CEIBS GEMBA programme spent four consecutive years at #2; before that, it had spent two consecutive years in the top five. This consistent performance and steady improvement highlight not only the exceptional quality of the programme, but also its unwavering commitment to excellence.

October 10, 2024. Shanghai - The Inauguration Ceremony for the Student Ambassadors of the MBA Class of 2026 at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) was held at its Shanghai campus today. During the ceremony, 30 outstanding Student Ambassadors took their oaths. These ambassadors come from seven countries and regions, spanning 16 different industries.

The CEIBS International Summit on Social Security and Aging Finance was held at the school’s Shanghai campus today, with numerous distinguished speakers and experts in the field gathering to share their insights and latest research findings under the theme of “Innovating for an Aging World: Driving High-Quality Development in Social Security and the ‘Silver Economy’.”

In its ongoing mission to foster excellence and innovation in case-based business education, the Shanghai MBA Education Steering Committee (host), in collaboration with its Case Development Panel and CElBS (organizer), has announced the winners of the 2024 Business Case Teaching Competition. This prestigious event drew entries from some top business schools across China known for their mastery in case teaching. Entrants showcased their unique and innovative case teaching methods through submitted videos. After a meticulous selection process involving school nominations, expert evaluations, and final approval by the Shanghai MBA Education Steering Committee, four First Prizes and four Second Prizes were awarded.

On a splendid Saturday on September 7, 2024, the CEIBS Zurich Campus was abuzz with excitement and anticipation as alumni, faculty, and esteemed guests gathered to celebrate CEIBS’ 30th Anniversary Celebration and Alumni Reunion.
