CEIBS MBA Job Fair Welcomes Recruiters from 100 Chinese Companies & MNCs
January 17, 2018. Shanghai – Financial services, industrial products, technology, consulting and consumer goods companies made up the largest number of recruiters at the MBA Recruitment Fair held today at CEIBS Shanghai campus. Organized by the CEIBS MBA Career Development Centre (CDC), this year’s event attracted 100 multinational and local companies looking to fill more than 270 job postings with CEIBS MBAs, among which 41 companies came to recruit for both internships and full-time positions. Since its inception over 10 years ago, the CEIBS MBA Recruitment Fair has attracted nearly 700 recruiters and is one of the key channels for student and recruiter communication.
Chinese enterprises, including Fosun, Huawei, CEFC, Greenwoods, Legend Capital, Pingan, Ali Sports, Geely, Ant Financial, and BOCIM, accounted for nearly 60% of the recruiters at this year’s fair. Multinationals who are CEIBS’ long-term cooperation partners also attended, including Tesla, 3M, Ford, EY, KPMG, Gallup, Honeywell, Carrefour, Corning, Lilly, Softbank, Hilti, Intel, Kraft Heinz, and Education First. Even before the job fair began, nearly 40% of the CEIBS MBA Class of 2018 has already received or signed job offers, including placements at Microsoft, McKinsey, Alibaba, Danaher, SAIF, Bain, AstraZeneca, and CITIC PE. More than 30 companies, including Bayer, Tencent and AB InBev held talks at the CEIBS campus earlier in the recruitment season.
In his remarks at the job fair, CEIBS Associate Dean and MBA Program Director Prof. Juan Fernandez thanked the recruiting companies for their continued support and proudly shared some of CEIBS’ recent achievements. “We have reached a number of milestones in 2017 including the MBA Programme’s rise in the Financial Times rankings to #1 in Asia, and #11 globally. We also introduced a new concentration in Digital Business and have been bringing MBAs closer to new economic trends through the Real Situation Learning Method™ that brings case studies to life,” shared Prof. Fernandez.
In response to the growing trend towards internationalization among local enterprises, and to help meet their increasing demand for talents, the CEIBS CDC has successfully held three annual China Enterprise Forums since 2014. A new Chinese Enterprise Road-Show event is also now in the works to establish a strong communication platform between recruiters and students.
Since the inception of the CDC’s Localization Programme for International Students in 2016, more than 20 Chinese enterprises have hired international students from CEIBS. The CDC also organized its first Industry Mixer tailored to international students. To enable MBA students to further explore the overseas job market, IESE, which is one of CEIBS’ five Reciprocity Partners, has opened its job fair to CEIBS students. The CDC will also organize the first career trek to Germany and third career trek to Silicon Valley for the MBAs in 2018.
