Educational exhibition highlights CEIBS’ role in facilitating China-EU cooperation, exchanges

Beijing – CEIBS was represented at the 6th EU-China High-Level People-to-People Dialogue (HLPPD) on education, culture, youth and sport in Beijing today with an educational exhibition highlighting the school’s remarkable achievements in promoting China-EU cooperation and exchanges in economy, trade, culture and education over the past 30 years.
CEIBS President and Professor of Management Wang Hong attended the high-level meeting and met with European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Iliana Ivanova and Vice Minister of Chinese Ministry of Education Chen Jie, who hailed CEIBS as a successful example in promoting people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and Europe.
Launched in 2012, the High-Level People-to-People Dialogue (HLPPD) is one of several High-Level dialogues held between the EU and China, along with the High-Level Strategic Dialogue, the High-Level Economic and Trade Dialogue, the High-Level Environment and Climate Dialogue, and the High-Level Digital Dialogue.
Co-founded by the Chinese government and European Union (EU) in 1994, CEIBS is China’s only business school to originate from government-level collaboration. A number of former European dignitaries, such as former President of the European Commission and Former Prime Minister of Italy Romano Prodi, former Prime Minister of France Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former Prime Minister of France Dominique de Villepin, and former Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Pascal Lamy hold important positions at CEIBS.
With 870 European alumni from 31 countries and regions in Europe, and nearly 100 alumni companies investing over €18.2 billion in Europe, CEIBS continues to serve as a talent pipeline for the global business community and contributing to European economic development.
