Professor of Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems Yinliang Tan | CEIBS Faculty Introductions
Dr. Yinliang (Ricky) Tan is a Full Professor of Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). His research lies at the intersection of AI economics and AI management, with a particular focus on how artificial intelligence affects economic development, the digital economy, and AI transformation and organisational change. He has served as a visiting scholar at Stanford University’s Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Institute (HAI) and the Digital Economy Lab.
Professor Tan has published more than 20 papers in top-tier management and business journals recognised by the Financial Times. In 2019, he was named one of the world's Top 40 Business School Professors Under 40 by Poets & Quants and received an Early Career Achievement Award from the Decision Science Institute. In 2022, he was awarded the Sandy Slaughter Early Career Award by the INFORMS Information Systems Society for his contributions to the information systems field; in 2025, he received the CEIBS Annual Best Research Award and the Best Case Award from the UK Case Centre.
