Dean Hellmut Schütte is pleased to invite you to our alumni and friends event on Wednesday January 28, 2015 atDartmouth House (the English Speaking Union) in London, from 18:00 to 21:00. In addition to having an opportunity to network with friends of CEIBS and China, guests will enjoy an interactive session entitled Online Retailing: China Versus The World, led by Professor Nikos Tsikriktsis. The discussion will cover:
• successful strategies taken by leading Chinese online retailers
• successful strategies taken by leading online retailers from the UK and US
• assessing the pros and cons of the different retailer business models
• possible futures for online retailing in China and around the world

Hellmut Schütte
Dr. Hellmut Schütte is Distinguished Professor of International Management, Vice President and Dean at China Europe International Business School. He is also Emeritus Professor of International Management at INSEAD, whose faculty he joined in 1981 and where he also served as Dean of its fast growing Asia campus in Singapore. He has also been a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo and Boston University as well as a visiting scholar at Harvard University. Dean Schütte’s teaching and research expertise is in international business, with a special focus on Asia and Emerging Markets. Prior to earning his doctorate from the University of St. Gallen, he worked in marketing and investment banking roles across Asia.
Nikos Tsikriktsis
Dr. Nikos Tsikriktsis is Professor of Operations Management and Associate Dean (Global EMBA) at CEIBS. Prior to CEIBS, he was Professor of Operations and Service Management at IMD, Switzerland and a faculty member at London Business School (UK). His areas of interest include operations strategy, service management and supply chain management. He has designed and taught executive programs in the US, UK, China, India, Dubai, Portugal, France, Denmark, Italy, Greece and Canada and for companies in the following sectors: financial services, telecommunications, energy, retailing, airlines and pharmaceuticals. He has also been involved in consulting projects related to the banking, retailing and airline industries.
Professor Tsikriktsis holds a BSc in Economics from Aristotle University in Greece, and a MBA and a Doctorate in Operations Management from Boston University.
