The Global Platform of China Cases and the Asia Case Research Centre at HKU Business School Enter Strategic Partnership

In November 2021, the Global Platform of China Cases (ChinaCases.Org) and the Asia Case Research Centre (ACRC) at HKU Business School signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to include the ACRC's Asia-relevant cases in ChinaCases.Org.
Professor Chen Shimin, director of CEIBS Case Centre, said, "After cooperating with Ivey Business School, ChinaCases.Org enters another important partnership with HKU Business School that stands as a premier business school in Asia with global influence. Playing an active role as the commercial and cultural gateway between the East and the West, HKU Business school is committed to providing globally significant education and research in business and economics. Case submissions from the ACRC will enrich ChinaCases.Org's case library and support in-class teaching."
He added, "World-leading business schools cooperate with ChinaCases.Org because they have faith in us. Thus, it is our responsibility to repay that trust by building ChinaCases.Org into a world-class case library focused on management issues in China."
Founded in 1997, the ACRC is a world-class case centre and pioneer in Asian case development. Its cases are distributed globally, most notably through a 20+ year partnership with Harvard Business School Publishing. Its cases are widely used by close to 2,000 universities, companies and organizations from 170 countries and regions around the world.
To develop high-quality teaching cases on the latest trends in business, the ACRC leverages and builds relations with leading companies in the region. This ranges from companies from traditional industries to 'new economy' companies.
ChinaCases.Org, in recent years, has also made significant progress in improving its library size, case quality, and influence. CEIBS and HKU Business School have been discussing their cooperation since 2017. At the end of 2021, the two institutions officially entered a strategic partnership to boost management education in China.

Professor Wan Zhixi, Director of the ACRC, said, "Consistent with our mission of advancing learning and teaching in business education and promoting leading management thinking through Asia Pacific business case development, we are happy to collaborate with ChinaCases.Org. I believe our partnership will further promote the case method of teaching in China and help bring business education to the next level."
As of the end of 2021, more than 3,300 teachers from 35 universities in the Chinese mainland have enjoyed access to some 2,170 high-quality cases housed by ChinaCases.Org, with 460,000 copies used accumulatively (excluding CEIBS). The first batch of ACRC cases was included in ChinaCases.Org in February 2022. In the future, ChinaCases.Org will continue to seek cooperation with leading business schools to expand on the case library's diversity, size, and quality.
