Having started out as a furniture maker, Che Jianxin rose to riches once he established a retail and real estate empire at the outset of China's economic reforms in 1986. Today, he serves as Chairman of his Red Star Macalline, which has turned into one of the largest furniture retail chains in China, with more than 100 locations nationwide.
