Wang, Renxuan
Assistant Professor of Finance, CEIBS
Prof. Wang Renxuan is an Assistant Professor of Finance at CEIBS. Prof. Wang earned his Ph.D in Finance from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University in May 2021. Before completing his Ph.D., he worked for global asset management firms and hedge funds in the Netherlands and the U.S., during which time he helped to successfully launch systematic investment funds in equities and credits.
Prof. Wang’s main research interests focus on understanding financial markets. In particular, he has explored how investors’ subjective expectations impact asset prices and how insurance companies’ institutional demand influences the pricing of corporate bonds. Both strands of research are inspired by his practical experiences in the financial markets. In addition, he is passionate about the development of Chinese financial markets and the impact of climate change/energy transition on financial assets.
Prof. Wang teaches classes related to investment and financial markets. In particular, he is interested in teaching students about how to apply insights from big data and behaviour finance when investing in financial markets.
