Ke, Shaowei
Professor of Economics, CEIBS
Dr. Shaowei Ke is Professor of Economics at CEIBS. Prior to joining CEIBS, he was a tenured Associate Professor of Economics at University of Michigan. Dr. Ke received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Princeton University and B.A. in Economics from Tsinghua University. He was a visiting faculty at the University of Pennsylvania and Yale University.
Dr. Ke is an economics theorist. His research focuses on decision theory, behavioral economics and welfare economics. His current research focuses on combining decision theory, behavioral economics, and machine learning. His work has been published in numerous world leading journals including Econometrica, Management Science, Journal of Economic Theory, Theoretical Economics, etc. He has been invited to present and share his latest research outcomes at many top universities, corporates, and institutions including Tsinghua, Shanghai Jiao Tong Antai, HKU, HKUST, Cornell, NYU, Northwestern, Princeton, UPenn, Yale, UToronto, LSE, etc. He was also a visiting scholar at Alibaba.
He has taught behavioral economics, microeconomic theory, and math for economists for different level students. He is currently a scientific committee member for the Risk, Uncertainty, and Decision conference and referee for American Economic Review, Econometrica, Journal of Political Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, Management Science, Review of Economics Studies, Theoretical Economics, etc.
