Shao, Wei
Lecturer of Accounting, CEIBS
Dr. Wei Shao is Lecturer of Accounting at CEIBS. She received her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, M.A. in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from University of Pennsylvania, and B.A. in Accounting from Tsinghua University.
Dr. Shao’s research primarily focuses on financial accounting, especially on how information intermediaries acquire and disclose information, and how their disclosures impact the markets. Two of her working papers are closely related to this topic. During Dr. Shao’s Ph.D. study, she gave undergraduate students a course on “Principles of Financial Accounting” independently, and lectured EMBA students on Quantitative Analysis Skills Workshop.
Dr. Shao has presented at numerous academic conferences including JAR Conference (Journal of Accounting Research Conference), JAE Conference (Journal of Accounting and Economics Conference) and AAA Annual Meeting (American Accounting Association Annual Meeting).
