Prof. Jeff Sampler Co-Authors Article for MIT Sloan Management Review

CEIBS Adjunct Professor of Management Jeff Sampler has co-authored an article for the prestigious MIT Sloan Management Review, which is among the 45 journals used by the Financial Times in compiling its Business School research rankings.
The article, entitled “What’s Your Information Footprint?” discusses the how information has become the key to generating economic value for companies. Prof. Sampler and his co-author, Michael J. Earl of the University of Oxford, advise companies to think of information as an asset that can be leveraged to increase revenue and efficiency.
Professor Sampler’s research straddles the intersection between strategy and technology. His research interests include the strategic implications of new technology, and the management of information as a strategic resource. His current research activities focus on ''developing strategic shock absorbers'' - or how organizations can encounter unexpected change without destabilizing the entire organization. His work has also appeared in leading publications such as Accounting Management and Information Technologies, Fortune, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Management Information Systems, MIS Quarterly, and Strategic Management Journal.
