With the world more eager than ever to gain insights into China following the end of the pandemic, CEIBS professors had much to discuss with international media during 2023.

Following nearly a century of rapid globalisation, successive international shocks and challenges to world stability have called the progress of this trend into question.

November 30, 2023. Shanghai – The CEIBS Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management Symposium is a forum for academics to discuss their latest research in organisational behaviour and human resource management. The theme of this year’s symposium was Managing Employees and Organisations in Times of Uncertainty, which examined how employees and organisations both respond to and manage uncertainty. More than 120 professors, doctoral students, and business practitioners from around the world gathered on the CEIBS Shanghai campus for the event. 

Our students and alumni continue to amaze us with their driven, ambitious, and innovative spirits. Over the course of 2023 we shared a multitude of articles telling their incredible stories.

From organisational leadership and brand management to the impact of artificial intelligence on the way we work and do business, CEIBS faculty illustrated the breadth of their academic contributions with an inspiring amount of research and insights this year.

After three years of challenging interruptions and difficulties, 2023 saw a welcome return to normality for the CEIBS community, allowing us once again to travel, regroup, and reconnect.

On December 11th, 2023, The Case Centre launched its inaugural Impact Index, ranking the top 50 organizations based on the global reach and impact of their case writing. Notably, CEIBS secured 26th place on the list, standing out as the only featured business school from the Chinese mainland.

On December 4-5, 2023, Shanghai - CEIBS Case Center held the second batch of 2023 Case Master Development Camp, with two classes running in Chinese and English respectively. A total of 135 teachers from 85 universities and institutions at home and abroad, including China Hong Kong and Macao SARs, the United Kingdom and India, participated in the camp.

Managing and retaining global talent is essential to reinvigorating the Chinese economy and maintaining companies’ competitive edge following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to CEIBS President (European) Dominique Turpin at the Pudong International Talent Hub Forum 2023 today.
