A formal donation ceremony for the CEIBS Center for Family Heritage was held at CEIBS Shanghai Campus today. As a gesture of thanks to the school, Chongqing DUCAR Chairman Mr. Zhou Xinyan (EMBA 2015) and Shanghai Yixing Management Consulting Co., Ltd. founder and CEO Mr. Jin Guangxue (EMBA 2011), along with 16 other members of CEIBS Family Business Second Generation Private Board, donated 5.65 million RMB to the CEIBS Center for Family Heritage to help facilitate the transition of Chinese family businesses during critical periods of innovation and transformation.

Shanghai — Undeterred by a light but steady rain that started the day, more than 200 participants turned out for today’s 2019 CEIBS Female Leadership Forum which explored the weighty issue of the future of female leadership. Organized by a handful of determined MBA 2020 students, with support from members of the CEIBS faculty, co-organisers and sponsors, the event featured powerful women and men from across Asia.

March 7, 2019. Shanghai – The “2018 Global Contest for the Best China-Focused Cases” was officially launched on November 1, 2018. This year’s contest sets more specific requirements for case formatting, length and copyright regulations. As of the December 16, 2018 submission deadline, a total of 209 valid cases were submitted by authors from 74 colleges and institutions in China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and other countries. Notably, the number of submissions from other Chinese provinces and cities outside of Shanghai increased 24% over the previous year.

China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Africa, in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), has released a report on the CEIBS-CIMA African Business Survey 2018. The report was produced in line with both institutions’ goal of producing data that captures and conveys the pulse of business in Africa, providing information needed to engage in knowledge-based decision-making.

The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) has consolidated its leading position among global business schools, with its MBA programme moving up a further 3 places to #5 in the Financial Times’ ranking of the world’s top 100 full-time MBAs. This is the first time in the school’s history that the MBA has been so highly ranked and the first time CEIBS has had two programmes in the top 5. The CEIBS Global EMBA is now also #5 in the FT’s ranking of EMBA programmes worldwide.

Nearly 300 deans and other leaders from business schools around the world gathered in the Shanghai Petrochemical Auditorium at the CEIBS Shanghai Campus today to hear Former ICBC Chairman, CLIIF Director, and CEIBS Adjunct Professor of Finance Jiang Jianqing give a talk on The Logic behind the Evolution of International Finance & Journey of China’s Financial Reform.

After 15 years in the classrooms of world class business schools such as CEIBS and INSEAD, Chen Weiru had a career switch. He is now working as Chief Strategy Officer at Alibaba’s logistics arm, Cainiao Network. Today, as the penultimate speaker at the 2019 EFMD Conference for Deans & Directors General, he shared some of the lessons he has learned along the way and his thoughts on how the digital world will impact business schools.
