CEIBS Vice President and Dean Ding Yuan this afternoon participated in the “AI Sustainable Development 2030” roundtable dialogue during a sub-forum as part of the 2020 World AI Conference Summit. Professor Ding also held in-depth discussions about AI-related subjects with other speakers and guests at the forum, which was hosted in Shanghai over three days from July 9 to 11.

CEIBS President (European) Dipak Jain was today joined by more than 400 CEIBS staff and faculty for the school’s second virtual Staff Town Hall Meeting of 2020 on the topic of Preparing for the Challenges Ahead: Global Experience and Practice.

CEIBS Dean Emeritus Rolf Cremer today helped deliver 400 masks to help fight the COVID-19 epidemic in his hometown of Bad Honnef, Germany.

None of us could have imagined the rocky start of 2020 as we suddenly found ourselves amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Though trapped at home, we have come to realise that the whole world is more closely connected than ever before.

Now in its fifth year, the Global Contest for the Best China-Focused Cases was again organised by the Steering Committee of the Shanghai MBA Case Development and Sharing Platform in 2019. The contest is open to case developers both inside and outside China and serves to further promote teaching and research on relevant management issues and practices in a Chinese business context from a global perspective. The 2019 contest welcomed a total of 254 cases by 467 authors from 85 colleges and institutions in China and around the world. A rigorous screening process was then carried out, including initial reviews, blind reviews, area editor & chief editor’s reviews, the Nominated Case Award selection, and the Best Case Award selection. Amongst the outstanding cases, one case won the Best Case Award, nine won the Nominated Case Award and another two won the newly added Special Recognition Award.

Over the past few weeks, CEIBS has received many thoughtful and encouraging messages from our friends and partners around the world. We would like to thank everyone for your care and support. February 9, 2020. Shanghai – The case review and Nominated Case Award selection processes for the 2019 Global Contest for the Best China-Focused Cases have now been completed. During the September 1 to November 8 submission period, a total of 254 valid cases were submitted by authors from both China and abroad, up by 22% from 2018. Included in the submissions were 120 cases from members of the Shanghai MBA Case Development and Sharing Platform, an increase of 32% over the previous year. In all, 87% of submitted cases dealt with business-related topics such as finance, accounting and control, strategy and general management, marketing and entrepreneurship, growing by 44% compared with last year.

The Financial Times today released its annual global MBA ranking for 2020 and the China Europe International Business School’s MBA programme has once again ranked fifth in the world and first in Asia. In November, CEIBS’ Global EMBA programme was also ranked fifth in the world for the second consecutive year in the Financial Times’ ranking.
