December 19, 2018 – CEIBS Alumni Switzerland Association (CASA) recently hosted its Christmas get-together in Zurich. GEMBA17 and Advanced Management Programme (AMP) students – all of whom were in town for their Zurich modules – joined in along with CEIBS Professor of Finance and Accounting Oliver Rui.

Following some pizza, prosecco, and catching up, CASA Co-President Urs Casagrande kicked off the informal sharing session introducing two hot topics, trade disputes and Singles Day.

Prof. Rui led off the discussion about trade disputes by helping to explain the situation with one simple equation. Following this, Urs shared some insights and figures on the 2018 shopping craze Singles Day (China’s version of Black Friday).

After some discussion and knowledge sharing, alumni and students retreated to the Christmas market to wrap up the evening with a hot cup of Glühwein and Christmas cheer.
