About the lecture
The business world in 2020 has been disrupted by the pandemic, international trade and political tensions, as well as volatility in the global and local economy. How should we deal with this “new normal” imposed by the pandemic? How should we adjust our business strategy according to the fast-changing geo-political environment? How should we prepare for the next “black swan” in global and local markets?
In this exclusive lecture, Prof. Zhang Yu will share his views on the challenges imposed on businesses and professionals by the current turbulent climate, as well as strategies we can adopt to deal with such challenges and move forward.
About the speaker
Dr. Zhang Yu is an Associate Professor of Strategy at CEIBS. Prof. Zhang received his PhD in Management from INSEAD. Prior to joining CEIBS, he served as an Assistant Professor of Strategy at the Paul Merage School of Business, UC Irvine. His teaching interests include strategic management, industry and competitive analysis, business model innovation and competition, and corporate governance.
Prof. Zhang’s research focuses on the interaction between strategy and capital markets. His research has been published in top journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Organisation Science, Strategic Management Journal.
