Join us for our annual MBA Experience Day on December 14, 2019 to experience life in the CEIBS MBA programme through a series of campus-based activities. Assistant Professor of Management Dr. Emily David will give an exclusive lecture, Senior Career Development Center (CDC) Consultant Ms. Amber Li will host a career development workshop, and a panel of MBA alumni working in Shanghai will be back on campus to share their personal stories since graduating from CEIBS.

The Subtleties of Power Lecture

Power. Though omnipresent and often elusive, it is something that captivates the imagination of nearly all future business leaders. In this lecture, we will explore the various nuances and sources of power so as to understand all the ways we can influence those around us. Using a video case study, participants will discover strategies to harness the power available to them by reading the environment to identify which tactic will be most effective.

Career Development Workshop

Amber Li joined the MBA Career Development Center in 2014 and focuses on supporting MBA students on career development in the PE/VC, investment banking and commercial banking sectors. Prior to joining CDC, Amber worked at Morgan Stanley, UBS, Citibank and PwC.

About Dr. Emily David

Dr. Emily Michelle David is an Assistant Professor of Management at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Prior to joining CEIBS, she was an Associate Professor of Management in the College of Business at Zayed University in Dubai, UAE, where she served as the Discipline Leader for the HR and Management faculty.

Dr. David is an active member of the Academy of Management, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Southern Management Association. She has also worked as an in-house researcher at both NASA (Wyle Laboratories) and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, in addition to consulting for a myriad of organisations, including the City of Houston, Kuraray, Saudi ARAMCO, and Exxon Mobil.
