1+1 Lecture Mumbai: Leveraging Business Model Innovation to Create Value
We cordially invite you to attend our exclusive 1+1 Lecture on “Leveraging Business Model Innovation to Create Value” in Mumbai on April 25, 2020.
About the lecture
Using a fascinating case study on Luckin Coffee, a Chinese start-up that in just two years achieved a valuation of US$ 4.5 billion, CEIBS Professor of Entrepreneurship Rama Velamuri will lead an interactive discussion on how Jenny Zhiya Qian leveraged business model innovation to achieve explosive growth and challenge Starbucks’s leadership in the market.
Business models are fundamentally about how products or services are delivered to customers. They consist of interdependent systems of activities that on the one hand create value for customers and other stakeholders, and on the other capture value for the firm. Through the case discussion, Prof. Velamuri will highlight Luckin Coffee’s business model innovations.

What is 1+1?
Launched in 2017, the CEIBS 1+1 project is a series of lectures hosted by leading faculty at various locations around the world. The audience for these invitation-only lectures is comprised of our alumni and friends of CEIBS. Each participant is encouraged to bring a ‘plus one’ who is also a qualified prospect for our MBA or Global EMBA programmes.
The core objectives of the 1+1 series are to further strengthen engagement with our international alumni and to provide attendees with the opportunity to play their part in helping shape the future of the student body at CEIBS.
