1+1 Lecture Seoul: Ten Commandments for Competing in Turbulent Times
We cordially invite you to attend our exclusive 1+1 Lecture Ten Commandments for Competing in Turbulent Times in Seoul on May 3, 2018.
About the lecture
As we enter 2018, the global economy faces widespread uncertainty and turbulence, yet most companies remain wedded to outdated strategies that are ill-equipped to meet modern challenges. With a focus on digital strategy, and using case studies from CTrip, Trip Advisor, and Expedia, Professor Sampler challenges conventional strategic thinking and provides vital tools that will help your company survive and thrive. Join us for this fascinating seminar as he examines these questions and more:
- What are the strategic implications of new technology?
- What are the true advantages of start-ups over incumbents for digital data?
- Why do new channels mean new sources of risk?
- Why is IT infrastructure the key to business flexibility?

What is 1+1?
CEIBS launched the 1+1 Project, a series of lectures hosted by leading faculty across continents, in 2017. The audience for these invitation-only lectures comprises our alumni and friends of CEIBS. Each participant is encouraged to bring with them a ‘plus one’ who is also a qualified prospect for our MBA or Global EMBA programmes.
The core objectives of the 1+1 lecture series are to further strengthen engagement with our international alumni and provide attendees with the opportunity to play their part in helping to shape the future student bodies at CEIBS.
