Executive Forum: Opportunities for China-EU Cross-border Investments in the Post-CAI Era
Please join us for our upcoming CEIBS Executive Forum on March 18, 2021, with Mr. Eddie Chen, Managing Director and Head of China & Asia at EURAZEO, who will give a lecture on Opportunities for China-EU Cross-border Investments in the Post-CAI Era.
Despite the impact of COVID-19, China-EU trade has been on the rise. In 2020, China was crowned the EU’s biggest trading partner (overtaking the US) and China is now the biggest market in the world for French cosmetics. These are just some of the trends shedding light on new opportunities for China-EU cross-border investment.
The EU-China Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (CAI) is a milestone for cross-border investments. As China deepens its cooperation with the EU to promote mutual interests at a global level, the country is also providing unprecedented access to its market in several key sectors. In this context, seeking mutually beneficial opportunities and win-win cooperation will be the way forward for both foreign investors and domestic players.
So, where do new cross-border business and investment opportunities exist? How will the CAI influence the current investment dynamic between China and the EU? And, how can organisations gain competitive advantages in an increasingly dynamic and complex environment? During this event, Eddie Chen will share his thoughts on the latest trends and opportunities for China-EU cross-border investments.
Please join us on March 18 for this special CEIBS Executive Forum with Mr. Eddie Chen.
