We cordially invite you to attend the CEIBS Executive Forum on November 12, 2019 with Mr. Xavier Veyry, CEO of AXA China, who will give a lecture titled Insurance in China: Challenges and Opportunities – An AXA Perspective.
Following years of rapid growth, China’s insurance market is set to enter a rational growth period. However, while the insurance penetration rate (4.2%) in China is increasing overall, it still lower than the global average. Profitable and sustainable opportunities for the industry rest in shifting from high-speed to high-quality growth. During his presentation, Mr. Veyry will shed light on some of the changes, challenges and opportunities in the insurance industry, including:
- China’s insurance industry evolution;
- Changes and challenges in the insurance Industry; and,
- What are the opportunities and how do we turn these opportunities into business insights?
About the Speaker
Xavier Veyry was appointed as CEO AXA China in 2018, and Executive Chairman & Interim CEO of AXA Tianping on the January 21, 2019. His role in China includes oversight of AXA’s Chinese partnerships and joint ventures – some of which began more than 20 years ago. He has also served as CEO of AXA Global Direct and CEO & Chairman, AXA Global Direct Asian Hub & AXA Direct Korea. Xavier brings a fresh perspective to AXA’s China business, with over 20 years of industry experience in the P&C insurance sectors of motor and health. He also possesses a unique combination of operational expertise on the commercial, technical, network and financial sides. Xavier has a proven track record of success in complex and multi-cultural markets including the Middle East, Korea and Japan. His achievements include establishing healthcare systems for AXA across the Middle East and building customer experience programmes across multiple European countries, and he has been instrumental in the post-merger integration activities across Asia, including the acquisition of Tianping.
