We cordially invite you to attend our Executive Forum on November 15, 2018, where Francois Tardif, President of Faurecia China, and Francois Marion, President of Valeo China, will discuss The Transformation of the Automotive Sector in China.

All over the world, the automotive industry is undergoing a major revolution: the car is becoming increasingly connected, autonomous, shared, and electrical. On one hand, electrification is leading to the redistribution of added value in cars. On the other, autonomy and connectivity favour the emergence of new usages where cars are increasingly shared. Driven by a strong regulation push as well as a vibrant ecosystem of innovation, the Chinese automotive sector is positioned to take a leading role in this revolution.

The revolution will, of course, impact the whole automotive supply chain, including car manufacturers and car part suppliers. But, it will also have a significant impact on all actors within the transportation sector.

Francois Tardif & Francois Marion’s lecture on The Transformation of the Automotive Sector will be divided into the following parts:

• An overview of the growing necessity for connected and autonomous cars;
• The value added and shared by both electrical and shared rides;
• The way various enterprises are reacting to this transformation in China; and,
• The challenges at stake for the whole automotive ecosystem.

SPEAKER 1

Francois Tardif is the President of Faurecia China, responsible for overall management and operations in China. He assumed the role on January 1, 2018. He joined Faurecia Automotive Seating in 2012 as the Vice President for Mechanisms Division (2012 – 2014) and then Europe Seating Division (2015 – 2017).  Prior to this, he obtained rich experience in general management & business development while acting as the Vice President of Central Functions & Asian Operation at Plastic Omnium Auto Exteriors from 2007 to 2012.

SPEAKER 2

Francois Marion was appointed Valeo China President in January 2018. He joined Valeo in March 2012 as the Group Strategy Vice-President for Strategy and External relations and a member of the operational committee. Prior to joining Valeo, from 2010 to 2012, Francois Marion was an advisor to the private office of the Minister of Economy, Finance & Industry, Christine Lagarde and later within the French Government.
