As multinational companies become more diverse, the path for Asian talents towards a seat on the global management team has never been so wide open. Today, even at some iconic multinational firms with a strong western heritage, management professionals born and raised in Asia hold the CEO position, which just a decade ago was unimaginable.

Chris Lee, Senior Vice President and President of Asia Pacific for Medtronic, the world’s largest medical technology company, is both passionate and well-qualified to answer these questions. Born and raised in Korea, Chris’ globe-trotting career has spanned 10 countries and regions; he has served in the upper executive ranks at several Fortune 500 firms. More importantly, he has spent most of the past two decades as a China-based regional head, which has provided him with great first-hand insights on Chinese talent development.
