About the Speaker

Dimitri de Vreeze (Dutch) studied Business Economics at University in Groningen and did his Post Graduate Finance/Controller at University in Maastricht.

In 1990, he joined DSM’s Fine-chemical Division as a member of the Merger & Acquisitions team. From 1992 to 1997, he was active in the Special Products Division, first as a Controller and later on as Area Sales Manager. Thereafter, he was given leadership of the Sizings & Binders unit as a Business Manager (based in Italy) where he remained until 2002. In 2002, he moved to Switzerland to take up the position of Business Director for Composite Resins Europe.

In 2004, he moved back to the Netherlands to become Corporate Director M&A. He was responsible for 3 major acquisitions and became Business Unit Director of the then-acquired NeoResins business in 2006. In 2010, he was made President and Business Group Director of DSM Resins & Functional Materials, the overall DSM Resins division. Dimitri became a Member of the Managing Board on September 1, 2013.
