Executive Forum: The Ducati Dilemma: Global Passion, Local Tuning

Back
Printer Friendly Page

Join us for a CEIBS Executive Forum on December 2, 2025, with Mr. Fabio Lambertini, CEO of Ducati China, who will have a fireside chat with CEIBS Associate Professor of Finance Mattia Landoni on the theme of The Ducati Dilemma: Global Passion, Local Tuning.

About the Event

In the world of high-performance motorcycles, Ducati stands as a symbol of speed, design, and passion. Yet in China, where regulations, consumer expectations, and notions of prestige create unique market dynamics, even a legendary brand must navigate complex terrain.

At this event, Mr. Fabio Lambertini, CEO of Ducati China, will join CEIBS faculty and participants for an open discussion on how a global icon adapts to local realities. The conversation will explore Ducati’s dual challenge of maintaining its Italian racing DNA while engaging Chinese consumers whose definitions of luxury, comfort, and “mianzi, or ‘face’, ROI” continue to evolve.

Rather than a simple success story, this session offers a candid look at the trade-offs behind brand identity, market adaptation, and resilience in an unpredictable luxury landscape.

Our speakers

Mr. Fabio Lambertini
CEO, Ducati China

With over 17 years of international experience in the automotive and luxury industries, Fabio Lambertini currently leads Ducati’s operations in China, driving the brand’s strategic and sustainable growth in one of the world’s most dynamic premium markets.

Across these roles, he successfully managed multi-market business units, led digital transformation in omnichannel retail, and delivered double-digit performance growth in key regions.

A passionate advocate of innovation, brand experience, and customer-centric strategy, Fabio combines strategic vision with a deep understanding of both luxury culture and operational excellence. His leadership style is marked by teamwork, fast execution, and an entrepreneurial mindset aimed at long-term brand equity.

He holds an Executive MBA from Alma Bologna Business School and a master’s degree in business administration (with honors) from Bologna University.
