About the event

This half-day event offers participants a fully immersive exploration of the Global EMBA (GEMBA) classroom. The day will commence with an in-depth introduction to the GEMBA programme from Associate Dean, Director of the Global EMBA programme, and Professor of Economics Bala Ramasamy, serving as an ideal exploration of the themes and core elements of this rigorous academic programme.

The next element of the day is a panel discussion with our alumni, who will share their perspectives on their personal Global EMBA journey. This is an excellent way to see firsthand examples of how GEMBA can make a lasting impact on executives’ lives and careers. You will also have the chance to spend time with the alumni after the session and ask them one-on-one any questions you may have.

Finally, we will spend the last session of the afternoon enjoying an interactive lecture by CEIBS Associate Professor of Strategy Peter Moran. In this session, Professor Moran will explore a framework for thinking more broadly about Strategic Innovation in a way that is also useful for developing and assessing an organisation’s business strategy. He will draw on examples from a variety of companies to build an answer to the question “What is Strategic Innovation?” and, in the process, illustrate how attendees can develop more innovative business models.

Who Should Attend?

This event is open to professionals with a minimum of eight years’ working experience, including five years in managerial positions. It is designed for those who are considering applying to the Global EMBA, and those who want to have a deeper exploration into their potential fit for the Global EMBA.

The third round of enrollment for the next CEIBS Global EMBA class is currently underway. CEIBS admission staff will be present at the event to meet with interested candidates.

About our speakers

Bala Ramasamy
Professor of Economics
Associate Dean
Director of the Global EMBA Programme, CEIBS

Dr. Bala Ramasamy is a Professor of Economics, Associate Dean and Director of the GEMBA Programme at CEIBS. Before joining CEIBS, Dr. Ramasamy was Professor of International Economics and Business and acting Director of Nottingham University Business School at the University of Nottingham in Malaysia. Prior to that, Dr. Ramasamy served as a faculty member at both Massey University in New Zealand and the University of Macau.

Peter Moran
Associate Professor of Strategy, CEIBS

Dr. Peter Moran is an Associate Professor of Strategy at CEIBS. Formerly, Dr. Moran was on the faculty of the Australian Graduate School of Management and the London Business School. His research in strategy and entrepreneurship focuses on the mechanisms of value creation and how they are influenced by firms and social networks.
