The 10th CFBR China Family Business Succession Forum & CEIBS 12th China Family Heritage Forum
Background
Along with the future turmoil in the economy, society, environment, and global order. New ideas, new fast paced iterating models, and new technologies are endlessly emerging. The latter situation, makes family businesses and leaders overwhelmed by the opportunities of growth, but have to face huge chal-lenges caused by the uncertainty and crisis. During a crisis, no one is an outsider, and no company can stand alone. When a crisis comes, the ability of the enterprise to resist and recover from it quickly is re-lentlessly tested.
For individuals, "resilience" is an essential quality for quickly adjusting and recovering in the face of setbacks and frustration. For enterprises, resilience at the organizational level is more important, it could help the organization break through adversity, turn crises into opportunities, and eventually gain growth even in challenging contexts. Enterprises that can navigate throughout economic cycles and successfully respond to emergencies, rely on resilient leadership and organizational capabilities to achieve sustainable development, which is the best epitome of business in the long run. Resilience is an essential component for Chinese family businesses to survive during crisis and navigate forward in the future. In fact, this is also eminent for all business leaders and organizations.
Co-organized by China Family Business Review and CEIBS, The 10th CFBR China Family Business Succession Forum & CEIBS 12th China Family Heritage Forum 2023 will bring together family business owners, successors and scholars from Europe, USA, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, as well as Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The guests will share their experiences about resilience in their family firms from multiple perspectives. The aim is to help family businesses chart the path forward in current and future challenging contexts.
