CEIBS OUTLOOK SERIES: Presenting China to the World
Nine years ago, as part of CEIBS’ 20th anniversary celebrations, a number of top scholars and political and business leaders from China and overseas were invited to the school’s five campuses in China, Europe and Africa. Among them were Lars Peter Hansen, Kazuo Inamori, Peter Thiel, Li Dongsheng, Liu Yonghao, Richard Liu, Jerry Yang, Guo Guangchang, Samuel Chao Chung Ting and Yang Fujia. They provided insights and perspective on startup stories, the nature of business, industry practices and more.
Since then, the world has faced enormous uncertainty, momentous changes unseen in the last hundred years and the pandemic of the century. But with crisis comes opportunity. The explosion of new ideas, models and technologies has opened up unprecedented possibilities for development. The insights and perspectives of experts have helped us navigate the choppy waters of uncertainty. They have also taught us that no matter which way the winds of change blow, wisdom and knowledge remain the beacons that will guide us to a better future.
In celebration of CEIBS’ 30th anniversary in 2024, we will host the CEIBS OUTLOOK SERIES of events, which will bring together tops minds in management, humanities and sciences from China and the world. The first session will take place on May 12, and we are honoured to invite Zhao Qizheng, Former Minister of the State Council Information Office and Former Vice Mayor of Shanghai and CEIBS President Wang Hong to explore the theme of “Presenting China to the World” and share their unique perspectives on “China's stance and international expression.”
