The pandemic has undoubtedly had a huge impact on people everywhere over the past three years. China’s zero COVID policy profoundly changed Chinese consumers’ values and behaviour.
With the pandemic now behind us, we are now entering a new era for entrepreneurs to re-define and re-work their strategies and actions. The first step in this process is to understand how consumers have changed.
During this event, we will discuss how COVID impacted Chinese consumers and created new opportunities and challenges and provide inspiration for your future strategy.

Mr. Fabrice Megarbane
President – North Asia Zone & Chief Executive Officer L’Oréal China
Mr. Fabrice Megarbane holds a Master in Chemical Engineering from the École Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques in France. In 2000, he joined the L’Oréal Group as a Marketing Coordinator for the Professional Products Division. In 2004 he became the Head of the Professional Products Division in Dubai. Then, in 2007, he returned to France and the Consumer Products Division as Trade-Marketing Director at Garnier/Maybelline. A year later, he was appointed General Manager of L’Oréal Lebanon, becoming the youngest Country General Manager at the age of 34. Fabrice was then promoted to Consumer Products Division Zone Director for ZAMO in 2011. In 2015, Fabrice was appointed General Manager of L’Oréal Germany, one of the group’s largest subsidiaries.
In 2019, Fabrice was appointed President & CEO of L’Oréal China, and a member of the Executive Committee of the L’Oréal Group. In January 2021, following a new organisation of geographic zones, he becomes President for North Asia Zone (which regrouped Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea), in addition to his current duties as CEO of L’Oréal China.
