What are the triggers? Increasing disposable income, better health awareness, and more importantly, the rise of aesthetic needs. Chinese consumers care more about their appearance than in the past, hoping to show self-confidence with their beautiful smiles. To help them to achieve this goal, leading multinationals have made significant progress in helping Chinese dental professionals deliver the best possible patient care with innovative technologies. As the President of Greater China of Envista, a global family with more than 30 trusted dental brands and more than 125 years of industry experience, Dr. Julie Xing will share her view on how the company works with dental professionals to create more confident smiles.
During this forum, we will explore how and why the China dental market differs from other geographical and MedTech markets. We will also learn about the latest cutting-edge digital dentistry technologies and Envista’s product portfolio – one which has been widely accepted by dental professionals around the world and which has transformed the way dental treatment is diagnosed, designed, and executed. Last but not least, we will hear about whether dentistry is a good industry for new MBA graduates to start their careers.
About the speaker
Dr. Julie Xing is President of Greater China and Global Senior VP of Envista Holdings Corporation, one of the largest dental solutions companies in the world. She is also a member of the Board of Directors at Mars, one of the largest global manufactures of confectionery, pet food, and other food products and a provider of animal care services.
Julie brings 20+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnosis and other areas in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Envista in 2019, Julie served as a leadership role at Eli Lilly Company, one of the top pharmaceutical firms in the world. There, she led new global product planning and pricing reimbursement access initiatives for the diabetes portfolio with annual revenue of $9.6 billion. She also worked at Eli Lilly China where she led the oncology business unit, driving significant business growth and commercial transformation and led the company’s China market access, key accounts, and government affairs functions.
Prior to Eli Lilly, Julie served as General Manager and Vice President of Asia Pacific/Japan for Affymetrix (now Thermo Fisher Scientific). Prior to this position, Julie was the China President and General Manager of Illumina Inc., the largest next generation gene sequencer company in the world.
Julie has very strong track record in general management, global marketing, new product launches, market access, commercial transformation, government relations, digital health and business development. She is a scientist by training and holds a doctorate in biology from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and was a post-doctoral fellow at both Harvard University and Stanford University Medical School. She is a well-known professional Chinese writer and has published over 100 articles covering subjects ranging from coaching and self-growth to women in leadership and career development. She recently published a book entitled 《决战职场》 (Win in the Workplace).
