Liu, Yixuan
Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems, CEIBS
Dr. Yixuan Liu is an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Prior to joining CEIBS, she was an Assistant Professor of Management at the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. Dr. Liu received her Ph.D. in Information, Risk, and Operations Management from the University of Texas at Austin, and holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Pure and Applied Mathematics (B.S.) and Economics (B.A.) from Tsinghua University.
Dr. Liu’s research interests focus on digital platforms, health information technology, the economics of artificial intelligence, and fintech. Her work combines data analytics, large-scale field experiments, and economic modeling to support data-driven decision-making in both business and public sectors. Her research has been published in leading academic journals such as Information Systems Research, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and Information Economics and Policy. She was awarded Third Prize in the CSAMSE Best Paper Competition in 2019. Dr. Liu also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for top peer-reviewed journals including Management Science, Production and Operations Management, among others, and has been invited to present at major academic conferences and institutions globally.
At CEIBS, Dr. Liu develops and teaches courses such as Information Technology in the New Economy, Information Technology Management and Innovation in the Digital Era, and Data Analytics and Operations Management. She also creates teaching cases that focus on digital transformation, data strategy, and the application of emerging technologies in business. These courses and cases are designed to help business leaders build strategic frameworks and analytical capabilities to respond to technology-driven changes.
